Captain– Stavros Lekodimitris
Stavros was born in 1963, is a Greek national. He holds an A Class Captain’s Diploma. He has worked on cargo vessels and various motor yachts. He joined the owner’s previous yacht in 2004 and M/Y Vera in 2007. He is married with two children. He speaks English. He enjoys cars and football. Captain Stavros is a very experienced Captain who will show to your clients all the amazing places and offer them an unforgettable cruise.

Chief officer– Angelos Kyriazis
Angelos was born in 1969, he is a Greek national and he holds a Captain’s C certificate. He started his yachting career in 2006 and since then he served onboard various motor yachts gaining great experience. Some of them are M/Y O’rion, M/Y O’neiro, M/Y Elegant 007, M/Y O’mega, M/Y Pathos and M/Y Jaan. He is a valuable and respected crew member, essential part of the team. Experienced at most water sports himself; Angelos is responsible for all watersports instruction on-board and he is also an open water diver. Whether assisting in the navigation of Vera or using the tender guests can always feel safe and confident in the most capable of hands. He speaks English and he enjoys all water sports and kung fu.

Chief Engineer – Kostas Dargakis
Kostas was born in 1979 and he is a Greek national. He studied at the Merchant Marine Academy of Chania and holds an Engineer’s class A’ diploma. He is organizing all aspects of the yacht operation. He has worked on all types of vessels and during his 26 years’ experience he has obtained great knowledge in mechanical maintenance as well as in automation and safety systems. Before joining M/Y Vera in 2024, Kostas has worked onboard many yachts such as M/Y IF, M/Y Jaan, M/Y Pegasus, M/Y Kintaro, M/Y O’Mathilde. Kostas ensures that everything works smoothly onboard. Some of his hobbies are swimming, motor biking, music and he has a great interest in Crete and its tradition – his homeland. Kostas speaks English.

Chef – Panagiotis Ballas
Chef Panagiotis was born in 1991 and he is a passionate culinary professional with a deep-rooted love for Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. Panagiotis began his culinary journey at the School of Culinary Arts in Greece obtaining his Chef Certificate. Since then, he has traveled extensively across Europe, immersing himself in different cultures and cuisines. His expertise lies in blending traditional flavors with modern techniques, always ensuring that respect for culinary history is at the forefront. Chef Panagiotis has honed his skills through a wide array of experiences, both on land and at sea, working with and renowned establishments around the world such as Le Grand Hotel Gordon Ramsay Restaurant, Le Taquin Restaurant, and Aphrodite Restaurant, all at Bordeaux – France , MAZI Restaurant, London – England and onboard some of the most prestigious yachts such as M/Y Moka, M/Y Islander and M/Y Zulu3. When Chef Panagiotis isn’t in the kitchen, he enjoys expressing his creativity through drawing. He is also a passionate traveler, always seeking out new local cuisines and exploring hidden gems around the world. Formerly a mushroom “hunter,” he remains deeply connected to nature and the bounty it offers. At home, he enjoys spending time with friends, often hosting BBQs and preparing meals together. Panagiotis speaks English and French.


Chief Stewardess: Irene Savva
Irene was born in 1974 in Greece. She joined yachting in 2013 and during her long career she served as Chief Stewardess on board M/Y Ancallia 45m, M/Y Athina II 47m, M/Y Athina III 62m, M/Y Mi Alma 30m, M/Y Allure A 42m, M/Y Spirit L 27m and M/Y Alaya 33m among others. Irene joined Vera’s team in 2024. She has studied accounting at Archimidis Educational Institute and she started her career in financial sector. Then she entered the hospitality field by serving in various restaurants and caterings and in 2009 she opened her own restaurant. She attended various seminars on restaurants operation and food & beverage management. In addition she has attended the seminar “A holistic terroir & elusive culture approach in offering a superb yachting experience : How to meet the standards of HNW I and UHNW I and achieve excellence in providing a unique Silver Star service”. She has silver service skills as well as decoration skills and she is an expert in events planning. Irene is extremely professional with excellent organisational skills, very active with a lovely and friendly personality. She is hardworking, responsible and always gives her outmost to offer a flawless service. She speaks English. She loves spending time with her family and especially with her two children and her hobbies are cooking, sailing, event planning, playing basketball and travelling.

2ND Stewardess – Maria Kritikou
Maria was born in 1996 and she is a Greek national. Maria holds a certificate in Food & Beverage services and a diploma in Hospitality & Tourism management. She started working in hospitality serving at luxury hotels and joined the yachting industry in 2018; she has worked onboard M/Y Dragon, M/Y Mamma Mia, M/Y Kintaro and M/Y Ipanema’s. She became a member of Vera’s team in 2024. She is a capable professional and together with her pleasant personality guarantees the highest attention to details and excellent service to the guests. She loves swimming – as she is also a professional swimmer – and hiking. Maria speaks English.

3RD Stewardess – Amor Villa
Amor was born in 1980 and she is a Philippine national. Amor has been working as a hostess since 2005 and before joining M/Y Vera in 2021 she has worked as a stewardess onboard Orca of London. She has a very pleasant personality and her professionalism guarantees impeccable service to all guests onboard. She speaks English and Greek and she enjoys reading and cooking.

4th Stewardess – Anastasia Thireou
Anastasia is Greek and she has plenty of boat experience as she worked on passenger
ships and ferries before joining the yachting industry. Through her job, she traveled the whole of Mediterranean coast and wants to see the rest of the world.

Bosun – Rossano Ronaldo
Ronaldo is 49 years old, is a Philippine national. He has been in Greece since he was 17 years old. He holds a speed boat license and he has worked on various yachts. He is with Vera’s owner since 2004. He speaks Greek & English. He enjoys all watersports.

Deckhand – Michalis Achladis
Michalis is a Greek national born in 1985. He holds a Chief officer diploma and all the necessary certificates for his position. He holds also a bachelor in Business Administration. Michalis has worked on board many commercial and passenger vessels since 2012. He loves assisting with the water toys as well as his team. He speaks English and in his free time he enjoys sports and cinema.

Questions & Answers

How does the charter contract work?

The contract is signed directly between the Owner and the Charterer, with the support of the broker. It is usually based on the international MYBA contract model, designed to ensure clear and balanced protection for both parties.
There is also the figure of the Stakeholder, responsible for safely holding the funds until the end of the charter.

What is included in the charter fee?

The base rate includes the rental of the yacht, the use of all onboard equipment, the presence of the crew, and the related insurance coverage.
Operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, beverages, and additional activities are not included and are managed through the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance).

The exact list of what is included or excluded will be confirmed when selecting the yacht.

What is the APA and how does it work?

The APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is an advance fund, usually equal to 25–35% of the charter fee, allocated to cover operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, paid activities, beverages, and the guests’ personalized requests.

At the end of the cruise, the Captain provides a detailed breakdown of all expenditures. Any unused amount is refunded to the client, while any overages are settled directly upon closing the charter.

What are the payment terms?

Upon signing the contract, a payment of 50% of the total amount is required.
The balance — including APA, taxes, and any additional charges — is typically due around five weeks before embarkation (depending on the owner).
Payments are made via bank transfer, which is the standard method in the luxury charter industry.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, cancellations are possible, but the contractual terms apply.
In general, if the client decides to withdraw, the Owner retains the deposits already paid.

If the yacht is rebooked for the same period, the Owner refunds the amount recovered, minus the applicable commissions.

Every cancellation request is handled with full transparency.

How can I choose the yacht that best suits my needs?

The choice depends primarily on the type of experience you wish to enjoy:

  • Motor yacht for maximum comfort, excellent stability, and fast transfers.

  • Sailing yacht for an authentic, quiet experience rooted in traditional navigation.

  • Catamaran for generous spaces, superior stability, and enhanced privacy.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (Mediterranean: June–September; Caribbean: December–April), it is advisable to book several months in advance to secure the best available options.

Is it possible to personalise menus, preferences, and activities?

Absolutely. Before departure, you will receive a Preference Sheet where you can indicate your tastes, dietary needs, allergies, beverage preferences, and the activities you wish to enjoy.
The Chef and the Captain will use this information to create a fully customised experience for you.

How many guests can be accommodated on board?

Most yachts can host 6 to 12 guests, depending on their interior layout.
Some superyachts over 80 metres, compliant with international certifications, can accommodate up to 36 guests.

Will I have Internet access during the charter?

Most yachts offer Wi-Fi on board, provided through mobile networks or satellite systems. The quality and speed of the connection may vary depending on the cruising area and the technology installed.

Is tipping the crew expected?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is a well-established custom to show appreciation for the crew’s service.
International guidelines suggest an amount equal to 10–15% of the base charter fee as a reference.
