Manos began his career at sea on board commercial ships and later joined the yachting industry in 2012 as second officer, working his way up to the position of Captain on Sunday, where he has been onboard since 2016. He holds all relevant certificates, such as Ro/Ro & Passenger Ship Safety, Life Saving & Fire Fighting, ISPS Certificate (International Ship & Port Security) and a speedboat license. His love for the sea and for all water-related activities enables him to offer an array of activities with his very competent water sports-orientated deck crew. Manos has a vast knowledge of the Greek waters ensuring an unforgettable experience for his charter guests.

Marios is happily married and has a child. He joined the yachting industry in 1994 first gaining experience onboard sailing yachts before moving to motor yachts in 1996. Since then he has been on M/Y Rainbow, M/Y White Knight, M/Y Trinity, M/Y Astir, M/Y Berengaria, M/Y O'Pari, and M/Y Bolario before joining M/Y Sunday. He has all the necessary certificates including Captain Class C diploma. Marios is a very organised individual with top leadership skills as well as a flexible nature which make him the ideal officer . When not in command you will find him fishing!

Dionisios is a graduate of the National Merchant Marine school of Onassis and holds an Engineer Class A certificate. He has sailed on commercial vessels for 11 years and then shifted into the yachting industry in 2002. This has provided Dionisios with the opportunity of sharing his experience of engineering and looking after the safety of the yacht and all aboard. Dionisios joined SUNDAY in 2012 and has been on board ever since! He holds all relevant certificates and ensures the safety of all on board, and that SUNDAY runs at her full potential at all times. Dionisios is married with 2 children and in his free time, he enjoys spending his time with his family, sailing, and music.

An active sports enthusiast, when not onboard you’ll find him boxing, playing basketball, swimming, or doing cross-fit!

Shiella joined Sundays crew in 2016 where she has been working ever since! She has a strong background as a steward onboard motor yachts with 5-star housekeeping skills. Her attention to detail is second to none maintaining a level of cleanliness to the utmost of standards!

Panagiotis holds a Skipper Class A’ Certificate and Certificate of Able Seaman. Panagiotis started his career on board motor yachts in 1987, and has worked both on charter and private yachts since! He has been on board SUNDAY since 2008, and offers extensive knowledge to all onboard. He holds Certificates in Ro/Ro & Passenger Safety, Life Saving & Fire Fighting, Tanker Safety, Ship Security Officer, Advanced Open Water Diving and a Speedboat License. Questions & Answers

How does the charter contract work?

The contract is signed directly between the Owner and the Charterer, with the support of the broker. It is usually based on the international MYBA contract model, designed to ensure clear and balanced protection for both parties.
There is also the figure of the Stakeholder, responsible for safely holding the funds until the end of the charter.

What is included in the charter fee?

The base rate includes the rental of the yacht, the use of all onboard equipment, the presence of the crew, and the related insurance coverage.
Operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, beverages, and additional activities are not included and are managed through the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance).

The exact list of what is included or excluded will be confirmed when selecting the yacht.

What is the APA and how does it work?

The APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is an advance fund, usually equal to 25–35% of the charter fee, allocated to cover operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, paid activities, beverages, and the guests’ personalized requests.

At the end of the cruise, the Captain provides a detailed breakdown of all expenditures. Any unused amount is refunded to the client, while any overages are settled directly upon closing the charter.

What are the payment terms?

Upon signing the contract, a payment of 50% of the total amount is required.
The balance — including APA, taxes, and any additional charges — is typically due around five weeks before embarkation (depending on the owner).
Payments are made via bank transfer, which is the standard method in the luxury charter industry.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, cancellations are possible, but the contractual terms apply.
In general, if the client decides to withdraw, the Owner retains the deposits already paid.

If the yacht is rebooked for the same period, the Owner refunds the amount recovered, minus the applicable commissions.

Every cancellation request is handled with full transparency.

How can I choose the yacht that best suits my needs?

The choice depends primarily on the type of experience you wish to enjoy:

  • Motor yacht for maximum comfort, excellent stability, and fast transfers.

  • Sailing yacht for an authentic, quiet experience rooted in traditional navigation.

  • Catamaran for generous spaces, superior stability, and enhanced privacy.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (Mediterranean: June–September; Caribbean: December–April), it is advisable to book several months in advance to secure the best available options.

Is it possible to personalise menus, preferences, and activities?

Absolutely. Before departure, you will receive a Preference Sheet where you can indicate your tastes, dietary needs, allergies, beverage preferences, and the activities you wish to enjoy.
The Chef and the Captain will use this information to create a fully customised experience for you.

How many guests can be accommodated on board?

Most yachts can host 6 to 12 guests, depending on their interior layout.
Some superyachts over 80 metres, compliant with international certifications, can accommodate up to 36 guests.

Will I have Internet access during the charter?

Most yachts offer Wi-Fi on board, provided through mobile networks or satellite systems. The quality and speed of the connection may vary depending on the cruising area and the technology installed.

Is tipping the crew expected?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is a well-established custom to show appreciation for the crew’s service.
International guidelines suggest an amount equal to 10–15% of the base charter fee as a reference.
