Toby Smith is from Melbourne, Australia. He joined yachting in 2009 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Before yachting, he spent his time snowboarding and travelled between Canada and Australia doing back-to-back winter seasons. While on yachts, Toby has spent time working all over the Bahamas, Caribbean, US East Coast and the Mediterranean. Toby completed his Master 3000-ton license in 2018 and has been with M3 since 2013. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, surfing, snowboarding and staying active.


Michal Zvalo
Captain (Rotational)
Michal graduated with a Business and Hotel management degree but brings extensive worldwide expedition cruising experience to the program. He was fortunate to circumnavigate the world several times with extensive cruising around North America, Pacific Northwest, South America, Mediterranean, Red Sea, Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, South Pacific, and Micronesia. During this time, he logged over 125,000 nautical miles and acquired great nautical knowledge and problem-solving skills while maintaining the highest standard of service possible. Michal is a passionate photographer in his free time and if you won’t find him outdoors, he would be working in the garage on his car project.


Erik Del Carlo
Chief Engineer (Rotational)
Erik, was born in California and raised in Argentina, at age 28 returned to the United States. He started his maritime career back in Argentina as a Captain on smaller yachts. His travel includes Mediterranean Sea, all Northeast United States, Bahamas, Caribbean Sea, Jamaica and Costa Rica. His passion for engines, cars, motorcycles and boats led him towards his engineering career. In his spare time, he likes to upgrade his personal sail yacht and travel with his motorcycle to explore nature. His mechanical aptitude, engineering knowledge and experience ensure that all of M3s' equipment, systems, tender and toys are running smoothly. Erik is available anytime you have a technical issue, or you would like to take a tour of the engine room.


Samuel Salazar
Chief Engineer (Rotational)
Sam is from Venezuela . He comes from a maritime family , his grandfather , father and brother are all seafarers. The men particularly all have the same passion for the ocean and sailing. He graduated from Maritime Engineering in 2017 and started his career on a Chemical tanker vessel as an Engineer , sailing all over the world leading him to develop a good skill set and knowledge about Engineering. In 2021 he transitioned from the commercial vessels to the Yachting industry and has not looked back since. Working according to the International regulations in the past has now kept him striving for the highest standards in his department. In his free time he loves to spend time traveling experiencing new cultures and foods , doing water sports and always up for a new adventure !


Jadon Ferrier
First Officer (Rotational)
Jadon reigns in from South Africa with an array of different skills. He first joined yachting in 2020 straight out of school. Jadon has worked on different sized motor yachts in the Mediterranean seas , moving further abroad to the Caribbean and US . He is quite the investment guru and enjoys doing research in the finance field . Jadon is also a musician and typically enjoys playing the piano and saxophone. He looks forward to climbing the maritime ladder and having a successful career in yachting. Some of Jadon’s hobbies include playing golf , flying his drone, practicing music and staying fit at the gym .


Ben Lawrence
Deckhand (Rotational)
Calvin was raised in Durban , South Africa. Growing up along the coast led him to enjoy many water sports and activities with a particular interest in SCUBA diving . In 2021 he joined the yachting industry as a Deckhand and has gained all his experience working onboard m3 since he started. Calvin is a qualified drone pilot and has interest in Aviation. When Calvin has spare time he spends a lot of time on the Golf course , playing rugby and anything to do with Motorsports. Prior to joining Yachting he worked in the construction industry for 2 years as a Development manager.


Roxy Wisdom
Chief Stewardess (Rotational)
Roxy was born and raised in South Africa. Her love for design and the arts led her to study Interior decorating in Cape Town. This, linked with her enjoyment in catering for people’s wants and needs resulted in joining the yachting industry. Her gentle nature led her to au pairing previously. She loves children and animals. You can find Roxy in the outdoors, trail running or exploring new places. Her love for travel has led her all over the world but she is happiest camping in the African wilderness.


Bryony Dorgan
Chief Stewardess (Rotational)
Bryony left England to work in European ski resorts. However, from a young age she aspired to be a part of the yachting industry due to seeing her family utilising their time in yachting to travel the world, regularly returning to England with trinkets and exciting stories for their nieces and nephews. Outside of this, she has a passion for reading, spending her free time consuming classical literature and books that will expand her knowledge on history, culture, politics and self development.


Suné Marais
2nd Stewardess (Rotational)
Suné Marais is a 28 year-old South African. She has a BA degree in Communication design and is a professional photographer. Suné is outgoing and fun, loves the outdoors, horse riding, hiking, and CrossFit. Suné has been in yachting for over a year, with the aim to experience life, places, and a diversity of people, whilst building her portfolio in photography.


Jess Rustin
3rd Stewardess (Rotational)
Jessica is from the beaches of Sydney, Australia. Prior to yachting, Jess completed her Bachelor Of Teaching degree and was working as a school teacher which she absolutely loved. Jess describes herself as extremely grateful to work closely with children and to be a part of their development. Jess’s love for being on the ocean and luxury hospitality facilitated her interest in yachting. Her favorite aspect of the yachting industry is meeting new people and seeing new places. In her free time, Jess enjoys surfing, tennis, walks, watching sports and socializing with
friends.


Michaela Chmurciakova
Head Chef (Rotational)
Michaela takes pride in high standard customer service and her work is her passion. She has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and upon completing her education, she wished to pursue hospitality to the highest of standards. She graduated from a commercial culinary school with a chef diploma and continued to the United Kingdom to further her growth. Michaela can be described as a very calm individual who simply loves her job. Her top priority onboard is to ensure the guests are as comfortable as can be at all times. In her spare time, she enjoys water sports, various fitness activities and drawing.

Accommodation: M3 accommodates ten owner's and guests in five luxurious staterooms plus crew quarters for up to eight in four cabins.Her custom, updated interior features honey glazed maple joinery along with all new carpet, new marble foyer flooring, new window treatments, upholstery and soft goods with rich fabrics and furnishings throughout the yacht in 2023. Her classic main salon and formal dining for ten set the tone for an elegant yachting experience.



The Master stateroom located on the main deck features a luxurious King size bed, large 3D flatscreen TV along with an adjacent private sitting room with sofa, chairs and TV. The large his and her bath features marble and granite, massive central shower and Jacuzzi tub.



The Guest staterooms include a large VIP stateroom with king size bed, two queen staterooms, and a twin stateroom. Each guest stateroom features private baths finished in marble, custom wall coverings, his and her sinks, and custom fixtures.

Questions & Answers

How does the charter contract work?

The contract is signed directly between the Owner and the Charterer, with the support of the broker. It is usually based on the international MYBA contract model, designed to ensure clear and balanced protection for both parties.
There is also the figure of the Stakeholder, responsible for safely holding the funds until the end of the charter.

What is included in the charter fee?

The base rate includes the rental of the yacht, the use of all onboard equipment, the presence of the crew, and the related insurance coverage.
Operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, beverages, and additional activities are not included and are managed through the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance).

The exact list of what is included or excluded will be confirmed when selecting the yacht.

What is the APA and how does it work?

The APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is an advance fund, usually equal to 25–35% of the charter fee, allocated to cover operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, paid activities, beverages, and the guests’ personalized requests.

At the end of the cruise, the Captain provides a detailed breakdown of all expenditures. Any unused amount is refunded to the client, while any overages are settled directly upon closing the charter.

What are the payment terms?

Upon signing the contract, a payment of 50% of the total amount is required.
The balance — including APA, taxes, and any additional charges — is typically due around five weeks before embarkation (depending on the owner).
Payments are made via bank transfer, which is the standard method in the luxury charter industry.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, cancellations are possible, but the contractual terms apply.
In general, if the client decides to withdraw, the Owner retains the deposits already paid.

If the yacht is rebooked for the same period, the Owner refunds the amount recovered, minus the applicable commissions.

Every cancellation request is handled with full transparency.

How can I choose the yacht that best suits my needs?

The choice depends primarily on the type of experience you wish to enjoy:

  • Motor yacht for maximum comfort, excellent stability, and fast transfers.

  • Sailing yacht for an authentic, quiet experience rooted in traditional navigation.

  • Catamaran for generous spaces, superior stability, and enhanced privacy.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (Mediterranean: June–September; Caribbean: December–April), it is advisable to book several months in advance to secure the best available options.

Is it possible to personalise menus, preferences, and activities?

Absolutely. Before departure, you will receive a Preference Sheet where you can indicate your tastes, dietary needs, allergies, beverage preferences, and the activities you wish to enjoy.
The Chef and the Captain will use this information to create a fully customised experience for you.

How many guests can be accommodated on board?

Most yachts can host 6 to 12 guests, depending on their interior layout.
Some superyachts over 80 metres, compliant with international certifications, can accommodate up to 36 guests.

Will I have Internet access during the charter?

Most yachts offer Wi-Fi on board, provided through mobile networks or satellite systems. The quality and speed of the connection may vary depending on the cruising area and the technology installed.

Is tipping the crew expected?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is a well-established custom to show appreciation for the crew’s service.
International guidelines suggest an amount equal to 10–15% of the base charter fee as a reference.
