Tristyn grew up loving to bodyboard and explore the beautiful beaches of the Garden Route of South Africa. He has always enjoyed the outdoors, water exploration and traveling, and that sense of adventure drew him into the world of yachts. He is at his happiest when he is in the water, trying new restaurants and interacting with people from all walks of life.
In the seven years of his yachting career he has studied and worked his way to be Chief Officer. He has explored some of the most amazing parts of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean onboard yachts, and has done one Atlantic crossing. He cannot wait to cross more oceans in the near future.
Tristyn's love for sports and fitness keep him very active both on and off boats.

Renato was born in Croatia and raised in Krapanj, the most densely inhabitedisland in the world. He attended a technical high school in Sibenik andgraduated from the Department of Marine Engineering as a Technician. He thenspent 5 years working on container ships before moving to the commercialindustry. In 2017, Renato brought his expertise to the yachting world, quicklyadapting to the demands of luxury yacht engineering. Rudy hails from one of the 7,107 beautiful islands of the Philippines named Cebu. He speaks English and Tagalog fluently and is also conversational in Spanish.
Excited to travel and see the world, Rudy started his career as a deckhand on M/Y White Rabbit and then onto M/Y Vanish that took him all over Europe and the Caribbean. Rudy joined Aspen Alternative in January of 2022 and this year also marks his impressive 8th year in the yachting industry.
Hardworking and always self-driven in everything that he does, Rudy is a great benefit to the team and brings in a wealth of knowledge and skill and is always in a great mood and smiling. His family is a source of inspiration and strength and he has recently welcomed a new baby boy named Rafiel.

Chantel Olivier
2nd Stewardess
Chantel was born in Nelspruit, South Africa, and spent her childhood summers in Mozambique, where she developed a deep love for the ocean and coastal life. Although she had always enjoyed exploring new places and cultures, yachting truly awakened her passion for travel. Over the past four years she has embraced the rhythm of life at sea, the movement, the discovery, and the chance to experience the world from a different perspective.
Active by nature, Chantel loves staying fit through gym sessions, Pilates, and outdoor adventures. A dedicated ocean lover, she enjoys diving and surfing, with shark diving being her absolute favorite, an experience she finds both grounding and exhilarating. Onboard, Chantel is known for her calm professionalism, positive attitude, and strong work ethic, along with a genuine desire to grow and contribute meaningfully to her team. Her adventurous spirit, warm nature, and steady professionalism make her a valued member of any crew.

Jean-Pierre (JP) Stopforth hails from the picturesque Garden Route in George,South Africa. As the eldest of three siblings, JP developed a strong sense ofresponsibility and teamwork, qualities that he seamlessly incorporates into hisrole in the yachting industry.With a passion for adventure, JP’s sporting background is as diverse as it isimpressive. He is a dedicated rugby player, a former provincial bodyboarder,and an avid motorbike enthusiast. Kayla Grobler

Hailing from a small town near Cape Town, South Africa, Kayla was raised among breathtaking mountain landscapes that sparked her love for the outdoors and a deep appreciation for nature. Kayla began her yachting career in 2023, inspired by her older sister’s footsteps. What started as a family connection soon grew into a genuine passion for the industry. Yachting has given her the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, while
forming meaningful connections and embracing new cultures along the way.
For Kayla, family and connection are at the heart of everything she does whether it’s her own family back home or the crew she considers her second family.
When she’s not onboard, Kayla enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, staying active, and exploring new destinations. She lives by the motto: “Life’s a journey—best enjoyed with kindness, curiosity, and a smile.”

Accommodation: Main Deck Aft

Upon arriving onto ASPEN ALTERNATIVE’s main deck, you are greeted by her expansive aft deck featuring a raised seating area with 270-degree views. On the port side are curved stairs leading up to the aft deck of the sky lounge. Aft of the main deck, down a set of stairs both port and starboard is the large swim platform with access to the tender garage.



Main Deck

Moving forward from the aft deck through ASPEN ALTERNATIVE’s large, light and bright main salon with expansive windows and unobstructed views. The inviting main salon is comprised of couches and an assortment of loose furniture to comfortably accommodate a large party. Forward is the formal dining room which comfortably seating 10.



Owner's Suite

The Owner’s suit is a full beam stateroom which is impeccably finished with high gloss panels accentuated by light colored fabrics. The Master suite features a study, seating area, vanity/makeup area and a massive his/hers walk-in closets with separate dressing area. The Master bath has double sinks, a large soaking tub and separate shower with backlit onyx.



Guest Accommodations

Down the spiral staircase from the main deck foyer there are four spacious guest staterooms all with ensuites. Aft there are two mirrored King size guest suites. Forward to port there is spacious double Twin suite and to starboard there is another King suite. All guest suites are finished to the same high standard as the Owner’s suite with state-of-the-art entertainment system.



Sky Lounge

Forward in the sky lounge is a U-shaped wet bar area and three bar chairs. Between the foyer and bar, forward is the entertainment center. The sky lounge is comfortably furnished with two separate seating areas for guest experience.



The Sky Deck Aft

The sky lounge aft deck has a built-in wet bar and buffet, to port and starboard are varnished teak cocktail tables with loose furniture surrounding them. The focus of the Sky Deck is a beautiful varnished teak table that seats 10 guests. On the port side are stairs leading up to the sun deck.



Sun Deck

Built for entertaining; the sundeck Jacuzzi seats eight, wet bar is to port and an additional dining area is centerline; the perfect place to enjoy the fresh catch prepared on the sundeck grill. Forward is an al fresco seating area with built in sun lounge with loose furniture surrounding them.

¿Cómo funciona el contrato de chárter?

El contrato se firma directamente entre el Armador y el Cliente, con el apoyo del bróker. Normalmente se basa en el modelo contractual internacional MYBA, diseñado para garantizar una protección clara y equilibrada para ambas partes.
También está prevista la figura del Stakeholder, responsable de custodiar los fondos de forma segura hasta la finalización del chárter.

¿Qué incluye la tarifa de chárter?

La tarifa base incluye el alquiler del yate, el uso del equipamiento a bordo, la presencia de la tripulación y la correspondiente cobertura de seguro.
Quedan excluidos los gastos operativos como combustible, provisiones, tasas de puerto, bebidas y actividades adicionales, que se gestionan a través del APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance).

La lista exacta de lo que está incluido o no será confirmada en el momento de seleccionar el yate.

¿Qué es el APA y cómo funciona?

El APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) es un fondo anticipado, normalmente equivalente al 25–35% del precio del chárter, destinado a cubrir los gastos operativos: combustible, provisiones, tasas de puerto, actividades de pago, bebidas y solicitudes personalizadas de los huéspedes.

Al finalizar la travesía, el Capitán entrega un informe detallado de los gastos. Los importes no utilizados se reembolsan al cliente, mientras que cualquier exceso se liquida al cierre del chárter.

¿Cuáles son las condiciones de pago?

Al firmar el contrato se requiere un pago del 50% del importe total.
El saldo — que incluye el APA, impuestos y posibles cargos adicionales — suele solicitarse aproximadamente cinco semanas antes del embarque (según el armador).
Los pagos se realizan mediante transferencia bancaria, el método estándar en el sector del chárter de lujo.

¿Puedo cancelar una reserva?

Sí, es posible cancelar, pero se aplican las condiciones previstas en el contrato.
En general, si el cliente renuncia, el Armador retiene los depósitos ya abonados.

Si la embarcación se vuelve a alquilar para el mismo período, el Armador reembolsa la cantidad recuperada, descontando las comisiones correspondientes.

Cada solicitud de cancelación se gestiona con la máxima transparencia.

¿Cómo elegir el yate más adecuado para mis necesidades?

La elección depende principalmente del tipo de experiencia que deseas vivir:

  • Yate a motor para el máximo confort, gran estabilidad y traslados rápidos.

  • Velero para una experiencia auténtica, silenciosa y ligada a la tradición de la navegación.

  • Catamarán para amplios espacios, mayor estabilidad y más privacidad.

¿Con cuánta antelación se recomienda reservar?

Para la temporada alta (Mediterráneo: junio–septiembre; Caribe: diciembre–abril), se recomienda reservar con varios meses de antelación para garantizar las mejores opciones disponibles.
También gestionamos solicitudes de última hora, siempre que la disponibilidad y los requisitos de licencia lo permitan.

¿Es posible personalizar el menú, las preferencias y las actividades?

Por supuesto. Antes de la salida recibirás un Preference Sheet, en el que podrás indicar tus gustos, necesidades alimentarias, alergias, preferencias de bebidas y las actividades que deseas realizar.
El Chef y el Capitán utilizarán esta información para crear una experiencia completamente a medida.

¿Cuántas personas pueden alojarse a bordo?

La mayoría de las embarcaciones puede albergar entre 6 y 12 huéspedes, según su configuración interior.
Algunos superyates de más de 80 metros, conformes a las certificaciones internacionales, pueden alojar hasta 36 personas.

¿Tendré conexión a Internet durante el chárter?

La mayoría de las embarcaciones ofrece Wi-Fi a bordo, a través de redes móviles o sistemas satelitales. La calidad y la velocidad del servicio pueden variar según la zona de navegación y la tecnología instalada.

¿Está prevista una propina para la tripulación?

La propina no es obligatoria, pero es una práctica habitual para expresar agradecimiento por el trabajo de la tripulación.
Las directrices internacionales toman como referencia un importe equivalente al 10–15% de la tarifa base del chárter.
