HIGHLIGHTS View
Saint Martin, or Sint Maarten in Dutch, is the smallest territory in the world divided between two nations. The southern part of St. Martin, with its British capital Philipsburg, is known for its nightlife, beaches, casinos, jewelry stores, and exotic rum-based drinks. A definite must-see is Grand Case, the island’s gastronomic heart, famous for its local restaurants offering Creole and French cuisine, perfect for experiencing an authentic atmosphere. The northern part, the French side with the capital Marigot, is known for shopping among traditional stalls and markets, as well as refined French cuisine. Along the coast, you’ll find Anse Marcel, a quiet and beautiful bay, ideal for relaxing in crystal-clear waters and enjoying nature away from the crowds. Offshore lie Pinel Island, a small paradise reachable by a short boat ride, and Sandy Island, which, as the name suggests, is a slice of paradise made of white sand, perfect for being gently rocked by the ocean’s embrace.
Moving on to St. Barth, the island’s heart is Gustavia, with its harbor full of luxury yachts and pastel-colored houses. Don’t miss the panoramic views from Fort Gustave, the high-end boutiques, exclusive jewelry stores, and refined waterfront restaurants. It’s an irresistible blend of luxury, elegance, and French charm, all framed by a charming and compact historic center. On the other side is Saint Jean, a spectacular bay beloved by sailing enthusiasts and sea lovers alike, thanks to its fine sandy beach and waters perfect for snorkeling and windsurfing.
