BVI: a paradise to discover by catamaran
Imagine gliding over crystal-clear waters, wrapped in a tropical breeze, among islands that look like they came out of a postcard
Welcome to the British Virgin Islands (BVI)! A unique archipelago in the heart of the Caribbean Sea.
A dream archipelago
The BVI are a perfect combination of unspoiled nature, turquoise waters, and fascinating history. Of the 40 islands that make up the archipelago, only 15 are inhabited, offering an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. Each island contains a world of its own; starting From Tortola, the beating heart of the BVI, you can reach the unspoiled beaches of Anegada. The legendary caves of Norman Island, the inspiration for Stevenson’s Treasure Island, and the spectacular natural pools of The Baths on Virgin Gorda, are just some of the highlights of this adventure.
The British Virgin Islands are not just a destination, but a journey into the very essence of tropical beauty. Sailing among these islands means immersing yourself in a dimension where nature and history intertwine, gifting you unforgettable emotions.
Also known as the BVI (from British Virgin Islands), they are a paradise for sailors, with numerous sheltered bays and calm waters where you can sail in peace. Tortola, the main island, offers beautiful beaches and opportunities for hikes and onshore activities, such as visiting the Callwood Rum Distillery to taste excellent rum, or Dolphin Discovery to fulfill the dream of swimming with dolphins! The islands of Virgin Gorda and Anegada will welcome you with their beaches of granite rocks that form caves and emerald-colored natural pools. Finally, be sure to savor typical local dishes such as "fish roti" or "peas and rice" for a 360° experience.

A heritage to preserve
These islands are not only a natural paradise, but also a treasure to protect. Thanks to the work of the BVI National Parks Trust, many of the most spectacular areas are now protected. We’re talking about twenty national parks that include coral reefs, sea caves and tropical forests, thus preserving the extraordinary biodiversity of this archipelago. Every corner of these islands tells a story, whether it’s an ancient rock formation, a submerged wreck or a deserted beach, far from the chaos of mass tourism.
The rich biodiversity makes this place unique on the planet. The flora of the islands ranges from mangroves, which protect the coasts and offer shelter to marine life, to hardy cacti such as the prickly pear and the turk’s cap, which dominate the more arid landscapes of Anegada.
In the tropical forests you’ll find rare orchids and gommier trees, once used by the Taino to build canoes. The fauna is equally fascinating: Anegada is home to a colony of pink flamingos that roam the salt flats, while the archipelago’s beaches welcome sea turtles during nesting. Among the reptiles stands out the Anegada iguana, an endemic and protected species, while overhead soar brown pelicans, herons, and frigatebirds.
The waters of the BVI, finally, are a true underwater paradise, with coral reefs like Horseshoe Reef teeming with marine life, including tropical fish and colorful corals. Every corner of the BVI tells a story of resilience and natural beauty, making the experience even more unique for those who want to immerse themselves in this ecological sanctuary.
