🚗 Getting to Piombino by car
Piombino is the main departure port for Elba Island and is easily accessible by car from all over Italy.
Main distances:
- Florence – Piombino: 160 km (2h)
- Rome – Piombino: 230 km (2h30)
- Milan – Piombino: 380 km (4h30)
- Bologna – Piombino: 230 km (3h)
Recommended routes:
- From the north (Milan/Bologna/Florence): A1 → Florence Scandicci → SGC Fi-Pi-Li → SS1 Aurelia → Piombino
- From the south (Rome/Naples): A12 → SS1 Aurelia → Venturina → Piombino
Parking:
If you don't bring your car to the island, you can leave it in one of the long-term secure parking lots near the port:

🚆 By train
The most convenient station is Piombino Marittima, located directly at the port: when you exit, you're already at the ferry ticket office.

- From Rome: Intercity or Freccia to Campiglia, then change (approx. 3h30)
- From Milan: high-speed train to Campiglia, then regional (approx. 4h30)

✈️ By plane
Elba also has a small airport (Marina di Campo – EBA), but most BeBlue clients land in Tuscany or Rome.
