HIGHLIGHTS View
French Polynesia is a true paradise for those who choose to explore it by sailing cruise. Bora Bora is undoubtedly the most famous gem of the archipelago, an island that enchants with its turquoise lagoon surrounded by a ring of Motu (coral islets). Its iconic image is dominated by the majestic Mount Otemanu, an extinct volcano rising up to 727 meters, offering spectacular views and a magical atmosphere. The island of Raiatea, the spiritual and cultural heart of the archipelago, is worth visiting for its ancient archaeological sites, such as the Marae Taputapuatea, and for the lush nature that surrounds it. It is an island that uniquely combines history, culture, and nature. Motu Tapu is another must-see stop, famous for its crystal-clear lagoon and breathtaking snorkeling among colorful corals and fish, a corner of untouched nature where silence and beauty reign supreme. Not far away, Matira Point, located on the main island of Bora Bora, is known for its spectacular beach, the most famous on the island, with white sand and transparent waters, perfect for swimming or enjoying an unforgettable sunset. Moving towards the Island of Tahaa, the so-called “vanilla island,” the main attractions to see include its motu, the vanilla plantations for which the island is famous, and the calm and pristine bays such as Vai'otaha Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site for its Polynesian archaeological sites. If you love snorkeling, you absolutely cannot miss the Jardin de Corail. This small shallow channel with crystal-clear waters is located in an idyllic environment at the center of one of the largest lagoons in Polynesia. To mention is Huahine, less touristy but very charming, with the famous Bourayne Bay offering calm waters and lush nature; it is a place where traditional Polynesian culture is still strongly felt.
