HIGHLIGHTS View- Close

Sailing among the Exumas Islands means immersing yourself in a series of spectacular and wild landscapes, where each island has a distinct character and offers something unique. Nassau, although a city, deserves attention before leaving the mainland behind. In addition to the urban beaches on Paradise Island, you can explore the colonial fortifications and climb the Queen’s Staircase, a historic staircase carved into the rock. Highbourne Cay, the first real island in the Exuma chain, is known for its elegant marina but also for spectacular beaches like Shell Beach and Horseshoe Bay, perfect for those seeking tranquility or wanting to snorkel in crystal-clear waters. Also interesting is the area of stromatolites, ancient algae formations that represent some of the earliest forms of life on Earth.  Shroud Cay is one of the most fascinating islands for its formation of winding channels, white sands, and mangroves. The panoramic point of Camp Driftwood, once a smuggler's refuge, offers an exciting view of the ocean and the entire island. At Norman’s Cay, the plane wreck, used in the 1980s by the drug cartel, still lies semi-submerged near the coast and is easily visible with a simple mask. Warderick Wells Cay is instead a concentration of marine and terrestrial biodiversity. Here you can snorkel among schools of colorful fish, turtles, and rays, especially in the areas of Emerald Rock and Danger Reef. On land, the vegetation is lush, and there are several hiking trails: climbing to Boo Boo Hill offers a spectacular view, and along the way, you will find whale bones and natural installations left by sailors.  Staniel Cay with the Thunderball Grotto, a sea cave to explore with mask and fins, is the main attraction: inside, beams of light create a surreal atmosphere among schools of fish. Not far away, on the so-called Pig Beach, you can swim with the famous swimming pigs for guaranteed fun!
