Questions & Answers
How is the Weekend holiday organized and who is it designed for?
The Weekend is a sailing holiday organized by BeBlue, with Italian skippers and crews. It is designed for guests aged 12 and up, singles, couples, or groups of friends who want to sail, discover new destinations, and live an intense experience involving the sea, land activities, aperitifs, and shared moments, even in just a few days.
Who makes up the crew?
Crews are organized by trying to balance participants by gender and age group, in order to create homogeneous groups and a convivial atmosphere on board.
Can I participate even if I am traveling alone?
Yes, the Weekend formula is also suitable for solo travelers. You can share a cabin with a participant of the same gender or request a double cabin for single use (DUS) with a 70% supplement.
On catamarans, only double cabins with private bathrooms are available.
What is not included and what are the extra costs?
The fee does not include:
-
provisioning (food and drink)
-
costs for ports and buoys
-
fuel
-
optional land activities (dinners, aperitifs)
Extra expenses are estimated at approximately €100 per person.
Additionally, cash payment for the BeBlue Pack is required upon embarkation.
What time is boarding scheduled?
Boarding is scheduled for Friday evening. We will meet you at the meeting point with the skippers, with access to the boats starting at 6:00 PM.
After stowing away your provisions and luggage, we will set sail before sunset, so it is important to arrive on board by 5:00 PM.
Will I know who I am on board with beforehand?
Yes. About 14 days before departure, you will receive the "boarding info" via email with all useful tips for the holiday and a link to the WhatsApp group with the skipper, co-skipper, and other participants, to get to know each other and organize details before departure.
How is cooking managed on board?
Cooking on board is managed directly by the guests. With the skipper's support, you can organize a menu and a shopping list, which can be purchased locally or online with delivery directly to the boat. Any allergies, intolerances, or special needs must be communicated to the skipper and will be managed without problems.
Is sailing experience or a boating license required?
No, no experience or boating license is required. There is a skipper on board who handles navigation and boat management and, for those interested, can also teach the basics of sailing.
Who handles cleaning? Are sheets and towels included?
Cleaning of internal areas is managed by the participants. The co-skipper takes care of the external decks and supports the crew in the kitchen and on-board activities as well. Sheets and bath towels are provided on board. We recommend bringing a personal beach towel.
How can I charge phones and devices?
On board, 12V USB sockets are available for charging devices. 220V sockets can be used in port or when the onboard generator is on.
Is there Wi-Fi on board? Will I have a connection?
No, there is no Wi-Fi on board. We recommend using an eSIM or purchasing a local data SIM.
Navigation is carried out mainly near the coast, so mobile connection is available in the vast majority of cases. Furthermore, free roaming is active in Europe, allowing you to use your phone plan just like at home.
More information is available in the “Roaming abroad” section of the BeBlue website. Link:
Do the cabins have air conditioning?
The cabins are not equipped with air conditioning, but fans are present to ensure good ventilation.
Is smoking allowed on board?
Smoking is permitted exclusively outside, at the stern, or in areas indicated by the skipper, out of respect for other guests and the marine environment.
