Captain Thanasis was born in 1986. He holds a Captain C Class certificate as well as a sailing boat license for open sea. He is an experienced maritime professional with many years of expertise in both commercial shipping and luxury charter yachts. Throughout his journey, Captain Thanasis has earned a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and his commitment to providing guests with exceptional, personalized experiences. He began his career onboard tankers, where he gained invaluable experience in ship operations, navigation, and international trade routes. After transitioning to yachting in 2018, he has commanded several yachts, including both sailing and motor yachts. S/Y White Pearl. Before joining M/Y EFMARIA in 2025, he was onboard S/Y White Pearl for 3 years. His expertise extends to crafting bespoke itineraries, particularly in the Greek islands, where he is renowned for his knowledge of hidden bays, remote beaches and off-the-beaten-path destinations. Captain Thanasis prides himself on offering guests an exclusive and unforgettable experience whether they seek adventure or tranquility. In addition to his professional achievements, Captain Thanasis is passionate about traveling and listening to music. He speaks fluent English and he continuously seeks new ways to create lasting memories for those on board, ensuring that every voyage is a one-of-a-kind adventure.

Aimilios was born in 1979 in Greece and he is a graduate of Tourism School of Corfu. He has over 25 years of experience in luxury restaurants & hotels such as Ledra Marriott Athens Hotel, Nice’n’Easy restaurant and as a private chef. Before joining M/Y EFMARIA, he served onboard M/Y Rini for three years. Aimilios is very creative in menu planning and presentation, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards while collaborating with the stewardess for seamless service. When Aimilios is not working, he enjoys exploring local markets to source fresh and unique ingredients, always passionate about experimenting with new flavors and culinary techniques and stays updated on food trends and incorporates them into yacht menus. He believes in delivering a memorable dining experience that complements the luxury yachting lifestyle and he values communication with guests to understand their preferences and expectations. Aimilios speaks English.


Stewardess : Christianna Sechou
Christianna was born in 1981 and she is a Greek national. With a wealth of experience in the yachting industry, she has honed her skills in providing exceptional service that meets the highest standards. Christianna’s commitment to excellence is reflected in her extensive training and participation in numerous service seminars, where she has gained invaluable insights into luxury service. Before joining Efmaria in 2025 she offered her services onboard M/Y Mizu. She is welcoming and attending to the needs of guests with a high level of professionalism, always ensuring the interior of the yacht is maintained to the highest standards. During her free time, Christianna enjoys travelling. She speaks English.


Deckhand : Nikos Koukouletsos
Nikos was born in 2000 and he is a Greek national. He holds a Captain C’ Diploma from Merchant Marine Academy of Syros. He started his career on board tanker vessels and then entered the yachting industry. He is a team player and very pleasant person. He has deep knowledge of safety protocols and he is responsible for deck maintenance, including cleaning and polishing the yacht. He speaks English.

system. All you have to do is ask the yacht a question or a request and it will perform it for you. It is connected to The google

play music server so any song you would like to listen to it can play and any question you ask it will search the web and give you

a answer. LT AI can also control the lighting of the Yacht.

How does the charter contract work?

The contract is signed directly between the Owner and the Charterer, with the support of the broker. It is usually based on the international MYBA contract model, designed to ensure clear and balanced protection for both parties.
There is also the figure of the Stakeholder, responsible for safely holding the funds until the end of the charter.

What is included in the charter fee?

The base rate includes the rental of the yacht, the use of all onboard equipment, the presence of the crew, and the related insurance coverage.
Operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, beverages, and additional activities are not included and are managed through the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance).

The exact list of what is included or excluded will be confirmed when selecting the yacht.

What is the APA and how does it work?

The APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is an advance fund, usually equal to 25–35% of the charter fee, allocated to cover operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, paid activities, beverages, and the guests’ personalized requests.

At the end of the cruise, the Captain provides a detailed breakdown of all expenditures. Any unused amount is refunded to the client, while any overages are settled directly upon closing the charter.

What are the payment terms?

Upon signing the contract, a payment of 50% of the total amount is required.
The balance — including APA, taxes, and any additional charges — is typically due around five weeks before embarkation (depending on the owner).
Payments are made via bank transfer, which is the standard method in the luxury charter industry.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, cancellations are possible, but the contractual terms apply.
In general, if the client decides to withdraw, the Owner retains the deposits already paid.

If the yacht is rebooked for the same period, the Owner refunds the amount recovered, minus the applicable commissions.

Every cancellation request is handled with full transparency.

How can I choose the yacht that best suits my needs?

The choice depends primarily on the type of experience you wish to enjoy:

  • Motor yacht for maximum comfort, excellent stability, and fast transfers.

  • Sailing yacht for an authentic, quiet experience rooted in traditional navigation.

  • Catamaran for generous spaces, superior stability, and enhanced privacy.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (Mediterranean: June–September; Caribbean: December–April), it is advisable to book several months in advance to secure the best available options.
We can also handle last-minute requests, depending on availability and licensing requirements.

Is it possible to personalise menus, preferences, and activities?

Absolutely. Before departure, you will receive a Preference Sheet where you can indicate your tastes, dietary needs, allergies, beverage preferences, and the activities you wish to enjoy.
The Chef and the Captain will use this information to create a fully customised experience for you.

How many guests can be accommodated on board?

Most yachts can host 6 to 12 guests, depending on their interior layout.
Some superyachts over 80 metres, compliant with international certifications, can accommodate up to 36 guests.

Will I have Internet access during the charter?

Most yachts offer Wi-Fi on board, provided through mobile networks or satellite systems. The quality and speed of the connection may vary depending on the cruising area and the technology installed.

Is tipping the crew expected?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is a well-established custom to show appreciation for the crew’s service.
International guidelines suggest an amount equal to 10–15% of the base charter fee as a reference.
