Owen "Bo" Brennan
Captain

Nation: American

Captain - Owen "Bo" Brennan
Nationality - American
Languages - English

Description:

Meet Captain Bo (32) born and raised in New Orleans, Captain Owen “Bo” Brennan brings Southern charm, genuine hospitality, and a lifelong love of the sea to every charter. After earning his bachelor’s degree at the University of Mississippi, Bo began his professional journey in the Gulf of Mexico oilfield industry — where he developed a deep respect for precision, safety, and teamwork.

In 2017, he traded oil rigs for ocean horizons, joining the yachting world with boundless enthusiasm and a drive to deliver unforgettable experiences. His career quickly advanced from Mate on several prestigious yachts to Captain of the 93’ Viking M/Y Indigo, where he has led the crew with integrity and positivity for the past three years.

Previous yachts:
2017: Mate – 92’ Pershing M/Y Andiamo
2018: Mate – 100’ Hatteras M/Y Anthem
2019: Mate – 112’ Westport M/Y Indigo
2022–Present: Captain – 93’ Viking M/Y Indigo

Bo has navigated from the Great Lakes to Bar Harbor, Maine, and all the way down to the Turks & Caicos, with a special fondness for the Exumas — especially Pirate’s Lair — where crystal-clear waters and easy island living create the perfect charter playground.

As both Captain and Engineer, Bo’s leadership style blends accountability with genuine camaraderie. He believes a strong crew makes a stronger guest experience, and his upbeat energy sets the tone onboard. Bo’s ultimate goal for every charter is simple yet powerful:

“To create lifelong memories guests will carry with them, their families, and their friends long after they’ve left the dock.”

When not at the helm, Bo’s happiest on or under the water — fishing, diving, spearfishing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, or longboarding along a coastal road. A true foodie, he loves discovering new restaurants and wineries, and he’s always up for swapping travel stories over great meals.

“The good seaman weathers the storm he cannot avoid, and avoids the storm he cannot weather.”

Chef - Jeremy Smith
Nationality - American
Languages - English

Description:

Meet Chef Jeremy (38) with nearly a decade of experience as a Yacht Chef, Jeremy brings exceptional culinary talent and genuine enthusiasm to every charter he steps aboard. His dishes are as heartfelt as they are refined — blending fine-dining techniques with a warm, approachable style that keeps guests returning year after year.

Jeremy trained under a Culinary Institute of America alumnus for ten years, working across several top-tier restaurants in the Jupiter and West Palm Beach area. That foundation shaped his creative versatility, attention to detail, and ability to deliver restaurant-quality meals at sea.

Since entering the industry in 2016, Jeremy has built a strong reputation for his professionalism, adaptability, and positivity in the galley. He has worked with both private and charter programs, splitting his time 50/50 between the two — and has proudly served as Chef for the Bouton family for over five years.

Previous Yachts:
M/Y All Inn – 130’ (Fraser’s 2022 Charter Yacht of the Year)
M/Y Happy D – 125’
M/Y Indigo – 112’
M/Y Cherish II – 125’
M/Y Golden Touch – 147’
M/Y Ocean Drive – 125’
S/Y Manutara – 115’ Sailing Sloop

As Sole Chef, Jeremy expertly caters to a crew of four and up to ten guests, creating menus that balance creativity, comfort, and indulgence. He thrives on collaboration, often stepping outside the galley to assist with deck or guest experiences, always focused on maintaining a happy, high-energy environment onboard.

Jeremy’s food philosophy is simple: use what’s fresh, local, and available — then make it unforgettable. He loves crafting dishes that tell a story, drawing inspiration from his travels across The Bahamas, BVI/USVI, Central America, and Alaska.

While he’s cruised throughout the Caribbean, his personal favorite destination is Alaska, where rugged nature meets pristine ingredients — “a chef’s paradise,” as he calls it. His dream is to one day complete a full Mediterranean season, blending his American culinary roots with global influence.

“I want every guest to leave wanting to come back.” Jeremy encourages guests to feel comfortable and connected — stepping into the galley to chat, share stories, or even swap cooking tips. His friendly demeanor and down-to-earth charm make him as approachable as he is talented.

When he’s not plating exquisite meals, Jeremy is rarely still. A passionate outdoorsman and competitor at heart, he loves golfing, fishing, and playing cornhole — and often ropes guests and crew alike into a friendly match.

Outside of yachting, Jeremy and his sister own a professional cleaning company in Western New York, which they plan to expand across multiple states. His drive, both personally and professionally, is rooted in the belief that great things come from doing your best — wherever you are.

“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” — Theodore Roosevelt

Mate - Hunter Brennan
Nationality - American
Languages - English

Description:

Meet Hunter (29) born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Hunter brings boundless energy, genuine hospitality, and a love for life on the water to every charter. Before entering the yachting world, he worked in hospitality as a bartender and waiter while completing his degree — an experience that honed his instinct for exceptional guest service.

He also spent summers leading his high school’s Watersports and Pier Life program, developing a passion for teamwork, safety, and fun on the water — qualities that continue to define his role onboard today.

Hunter joined M/Y Indigo in 2020 and quickly became a cornerstone of the crew. Known for his high-energy leadership style, he’s the first to rally the team for watersports adventures, beach days, or impromptu deck games. His motto is simple: lead by example and always give 110%.

Hunter has explored an impressive range of destinations — from the rocky shores of New England to the turquoise waters of The Bahamas.

New England: Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Bar Harbor, Portsmouth, Newport

Bahamas: Highborne Cay, Staniel Cay, Norman’s Cay, the Abacos, Eleuthera, Hope Town, Great Exumas, Conception Island, Rum Cay, and Long Island

His favorite? Norman’s Cay — for its easy island charm, sandbars, and storybook blue water.
Outside of yachting, his favorite places in the world are Cape Town, South Africa, and Bocas del Toro, Panama — both destinations that perfectly blend ocean adventure, great food, and vibrant culture.

Hunter’s goal for every charter is simple:

“I want guests to want for nothing, while experiencing everything INDIGO and our cruising grounds have to offer.”

From sunrise dives to sunset cocktails, he ensures guests feel both pampered and at home, creating moments that linger long after the voyage ends.

Hunter’s connection to the sea runs deep. After Hurricane Katrina, his family relocated to Destin, Florida — living aboard a 72’ Hatteras for three years. That formative experience, combined with his parents’ love for boating, sparked a lifelong passion that naturally evolved into his career.

Today, with four years aboard charter yachts, Hunter continues to channel that early love of the ocean into a rewarding career at sea.

When not on charter, Hunter can be found chasing live music, diving reefs, or sharing good food and cocktails with friends. He’s passionate about diving, fishing, and spearfishing, and is always eager to introduce guests to the underwater world he loves. A self-proclaimed foodie, he’s equally at home enjoying a casual beach BBQ or savoring a Michelin-paired tasting menu.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Stewardess - Victoria Torres
Nationality - American
Languages - English

Description:

Meet Victoria (29) born on the sunny coast of California, Victoria brings a refreshing mix of heart, humor, and high standards to her role as Chief Stewardess aboard M/Y Indigo. With a natural gift for connecting with people and an eye for detail, she ensures every guest feels seen, cared for, and effortlessly at home.

Before joining the yachting industry, Victoria spent several years in private healthcare, specializing in stroke recovery, senior in-home care, and hospice companionship. Her background in caregiving gives her a unique depth of empathy and intuition — traits that now translate seamlessly into five-star guest service.

She also has years of experience in hospitality, working in everything from casual beach bars to fine-dining restaurants — experience that honed her service finesse and ability to anticipate guests’ needs before they arise.

Now serving as Chief Stewardess, Victoria is known for her unflappable multitasking, infectious positivity, and ability to adapt fluidly to any situation. Whether she’s setting an elegant table, leading the interior team, or coordinating guest activities, she operates with precision, passion, and a genuine love for creating memorable experiences.

Victoria has cruised throughout New England, The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and both the US and British Virgin Islands.

Her favorite stop? Thailand — not for work, but for the unforgettable culture, kindness, and culinary challenge: “Nothing humbles you quite like Thai spices and chillies!”

Victoria believes charter guests should feel the value of their experience in every thoughtful detail. “It’s no secret guests invest a lot into these vacations. My goal is to make sure that’s reflected in the energy, effort, and care I put into every moment on board M/Y Indigo.”

“Stillness is not in my nature,” Victoria laughs — and it’s true. Whether she’s in the gym, on a trail, or in the ocean, she’s always moving. A lover of fitness, hot yoga, hiking, diving, and all things outdoors, she’s happiest surrounded by nature.

She also offers guest fitness sessions upon request — from calming yoga and pilates to energizing HIIT workouts for all levels — helping guests stay active and balanced while enjoying their time on the water.

Questions & Answers

How does the charter contract work?

The contract is signed directly between the Owner and the Charterer, with the support of the broker. It is usually based on the international MYBA contract model, designed to ensure clear and balanced protection for both parties.
There is also the figure of the Stakeholder, responsible for safely holding the funds until the end of the charter.

What is included in the charter fee?

The base rate includes the rental of the yacht, the use of all onboard equipment, the presence of the crew, and the related insurance coverage.
Operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, beverages, and additional activities are not included and are managed through the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance).

The exact list of what is included or excluded will be confirmed when selecting the yacht.

What is the APA and how does it work?

The APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is an advance fund, usually equal to 25–35% of the charter fee, allocated to cover operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, paid activities, beverages, and the guests’ personalized requests.

At the end of the cruise, the Captain provides a detailed breakdown of all expenditures. Any unused amount is refunded to the client, while any overages are settled directly upon closing the charter.

What are the payment terms?

Upon signing the contract, a payment of 50% of the total amount is required.
The balance — including APA, taxes, and any additional charges — is typically due around five weeks before embarkation (depending on the owner).
Payments are made via bank transfer, which is the standard method in the luxury charter industry.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, cancellations are possible, but the contractual terms apply.
In general, if the client decides to withdraw, the Owner retains the deposits already paid.

If the yacht is rebooked for the same period, the Owner refunds the amount recovered, minus the applicable commissions.

Every cancellation request is handled with full transparency.
Further details on the applicable policies are available upon direct request.

How can I choose the yacht that best suits my needs?

The choice depends primarily on the type of experience you wish to enjoy:

  • Motor yacht for maximum comfort, excellent stability, and fast transfers.

  • Sailing yacht for an authentic, quiet experience rooted in traditional navigation.

  • Catamaran for generous spaces, superior stability, and enhanced privacy.

BeBlue evaluates the destination, number of guests, personal preferences, and budget to select the most suitable option for you.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (Mediterranean: June–September; Caribbean: December–April), it is advisable to book several months in advance to secure the best available options.
We can also handle last-minute requests, depending on availability and licensing requirements.

Is it possible to personalise menus, preferences, and activities?

Absolutely. Before departure, you will receive a Preference Sheet where you can indicate your tastes, dietary needs, allergies, beverage preferences, and the activities you wish to enjoy.
The Chef and the Captain will use this information to create a fully customised experience for you.

How many guests can be accommodated on board?

Most yachts can host 6 to 12 guests, depending on their interior layout.
Some superyachts over 80 metres, compliant with international certifications, can accommodate up to 36 guests.

Will I have Internet access during the charter?

Most yachts offer Wi-Fi on board, provided through mobile networks or satellite systems. The quality and speed of the connection may vary depending on the cruising area and the technology installed.

Is tipping the crew expected?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is a well-established custom to show appreciation for the crew’s service.
International guidelines suggest an amount equal to 10–15% of the base charter fee as a reference.
