HIGHLIGHTS View
The Grenadine Islands, a chain of islands in the heart of the Caribbean, are a paradise for sailing enthusiasts, thanks to steady trade winds, crystal-clear waters, and a series of sheltered bays that look like they’ve been painted. One of the first unmissable stops is Bequia, a welcoming island with a long maritime tradition. The port of Admiralty Bay is perfect for anchoring, and the town of Port Elizabeth offers a relaxed atmosphere, with local shops and beachside bars. To the north, on Saint Vincent, key stops include Cumberland Bay and Mopion Umbrella, a tiny atoll in the crystal-clear sea, home to nothing but a single thatched umbrella at its center: a unique destination where peace and relaxation reign supreme. Saint Lucia, with its iconic volcanic Pitons and natural hot springs, offers an extraordinary blend of lush nature and Creole culture. In the surroundings of Le Marin, on Martinique, you’ll find Sainte-Anne and Plage des Salines, two of the island’s most beautiful beaches, easily reachable by land or by boat. However, the beating heart of a sailing cruise in this region is the Tobago Cays archipelago, a group of small, uninhabited islets surrounded by a turquoise lagoon and protected by a horseshoe-shaped coral reef. It’s a marine park where you can swim among rays, turtles, and tropical fish, with waters so clear they look painted. Finally, Mayreau is the smallest inhabited island of the Grenadines, a truly untouched paradise where electricity only arrived in 2002!
