NOT TO BE MISSED View
The charm of the crystal-clear sea, the slow rhythm of nature, and the discovery of places full of history and beauty: this is the heart of a sailing cruise in the Ionian Islands. Lefkas, connected to the mainland by a movable bridge, is the ideal starting point to explore the archipelago. The Port of Nidri or the town of Lefkada are perfect for provisioning and enjoying a first Greek dinner based on fresh fish and ouzo. The small and enchanting Kastos, an island almost out of time and inhabited by a few dozen people, will give you tranquility and silence, interrupted only by the sound of the waves and the clinking of boats in the harbor. Ithaca is the small island linked to the ancient myth of Ulysses, consisting of the main port of Vathi and Perachori, from which you can admire an unforgettable view over the sea. Do not miss the Cave of the Nymphs and Polis Bay, where it is said Ulysses landed on his return. The entrance to Fiskardo Bay, with its emerald waters and Venetian architecture, takes us to Kefalonia, the largest of the Ionian Islands. The island is famous for the Melissani Caves, an underground lake illuminated by natural light filtering through a large opening in the rock. There are also two of the best beaches in Greece, Myrtos and Antisamos, ideal for a long relaxing stop. Meganissi is characterized by its rocky conformation, composed of traditional villages and abundant vegetation that will allow you to know the hundreds of different shades of green. Skorpios, the private island that belonged to Aristotle, today only partially visitable, but surrounded by waters that tell stories of jet set and mystery. Even if access is limited, sailing around Skorpios and anchoring in nearby bays offers a perfect closure to the journey, between wild beauty and fairy-tale suggestions.
