Questions & Answers
What makes the BeFamily flotilla unique?
The BeFamily flotilla is ideal for families with children aged 4 to 12. The experience balances activities dedicated to the little ones with moments of relaxation for parents, creating a true sailing vacation to be experienced together. During the week, activities such as stargazing, water games, cinema on the sails, and basic sailing school are planned to engage both adults and children in a safe, fun, and stimulating way.
From what age can one participate in the BeFamily cruise?
The BeFamily cruise is dedicated to families with children starting from 4 years old. The entire organization is designed to introduce the little ones to the world of sailing in a gradual, playful manner suitable for their age.
Where can we stay during the flotilla?
You can choose between different solutions:
-
Book the necessary cabins and share the boat with other families compatible by children's age.
-
Rent a sailboat or catamaran exclusively, with or without a skipper.
The exclusive boat option is recommended for groups of at least 5 people or for families with a parent who is a skipper capable of handling the boat independently.
Cabin booking: how are cabins assigned?
We accept reservations for groups of 2 or more people, both even and odd numbers.
Even-numbered groups, such as two parents with two children, normally occupy two cabins. Odd-numbered groups are matched with other families to complete the cabins.
Cabins on sailboats are double, with double beds or bunk beds. It is possible to:
-
Book a single berth (adult or child).
-
Book a double cabin for single use, with a supplement.
In the case of booking a single berth, adults are paired with guests of the same gender. Children are always assigned to a cabin only with other children. The skipper usually uses the dinette (saloon).
What is not included and how much are the extras?
The fee does not include:
-
transfers to and from the port.
-
provisioning (food and drink).
-
costs for ports, parks, and buoys.
-
optional land activities (dinners, aperitifs).
Extra expenses are estimated at approximately €150/€180 per person.
Additionally, cash payment for the BeBlue Pack is required upon embarkation.
What time is boarding scheduled?
The meeting point is on Saturday at the embarkation Marina. Check-in is available starting from 2:30 PM, while boarding the boats is possible from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The first evening is dedicated to getting to know the crew and skipper or, depending on weather conditions, setting sail before sunset.
How can I charge phones and devices?
On board, you can charge devices via 12V USB sockets. 220V sockets are available when in port.
Is there Wi-Fi on board? Will I have a connection?
No, there is no Wi-Fi on board. We recommend using an eSIM or purchasing a local data SIM.
Navigation is carried out mainly near the coast, so mobile connection is available in the vast majority of cases. Furthermore, free roaming is active in Europe, allowing you to use your phone plan just like at home.
More information is available in the “Roaming abroad” section of the BeBlue website. Link:
Do the cabins have air conditioning?
The cabins are not equipped with air conditioning, but each cabin is equipped with fans to ensure good ventilation.
Is smoking allowed on board?
Smoking is permitted exclusively outside, at the stern, or in areas indicated by the skipper, out of respect for other guests and the marine environment.
