Day 1: Check-in
Check-in is at 19:30 in Lipari, the skipper and sailor will be waiting for you at the ‘Lipari Service’ jetty in Marina Lunga. Once you are on board and settled into your cabins, the skipper will give a short safety briefing and on life on board. The first dinner (paid for by the guests) is planned ashore in a typical Aeolian restaurant: the perfect opportunity to get to know each other and to toast the start of a wonderful adventure!
Day 2
After a good breakfast, your Aeolian Archipelago adventure will begin! You will cast off your moorings and head for the enchanting bay of the Pumice Quarry, characterized by a crystal-clear pumice seabed and crystal-clear water: a spectacular setting in which the ruins of the old quarry blend harmoniously with the pumice stone wall and typical vegetation. Cool off in the water and relax with a natural pumice powder scrub, or have fun searching for obsidian gems. After lunch, you will sail to the lively island of Panarea, where you can enjoy an aperitif at sunset.
Day 3
Panarea will bid you good morning with a spectacular sunrise! You will move on to Lisca Bianca, Panarea's rock characterised by sulphurous eruptions, for a morning swim. After lunch, you will head for Stromboli, sailing to the slopes of the volcano, enjoying a breathtaking natural spectacle, its eruptions. In the evening, you will be able to go ashore and, on request, visit the island on an excursion that will take you to admire Stromboli's continuous eruptions up close and enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the archipelago.
Day 4
This day's destination is the island of Salina. Known for its capers and malvasia, you will recognise the island for its magnificent green vegetation. Once you have finished sailing, you will reach Santa Marina and, once ashore, you can enjoy a delicious granita and visit the island, discovering its characteristic houses, shops and good wine.
Day 5
After breakfast, you will cast off your moorings and set sail for Pollara, a characteristic locality on the island of Salina. Pollara is characterised by the steep, sheer walls of the crater of a now inactive volcano. You will recognise this wonderful scenery as the backdrop of Massimo Troisi's film ‘Il Postino’. After lunch, we will set anchor and sail to Filicudi. You will refresh yourself with a dip at Capo Graziano. In the afternoon you will moor at Pecorini, and go ashore and visit the island. Don't miss the opportunity to try typical island dishes and sip malvasia wine, accompanied by local songs and dances.
Day 6
Spend the morning in Filicudi, visiting the famous Grotta del Bue Marino (Sea Ox Cave) where you will be amazed by the play of light and the peculiar sounds of the sea reminiscent of an ox mooing. Enjoy a refreshing swim before sailing back to Vulcano. The island is characterised by the strong presence of sulphur and it is possible to relax with mud baths and bathe in sulphurous eruptions. For the more energetic, you can try your hand at climbing up to the crater or, alternatively, relax with some shopping.
Day 7
After breakfast, you will move on to the famous bay La Piscina di Venere, a natural pool formed by the erosion of volcanic rocks, where you can relax in its crystal-clear waters while enjoying the wonderful natural panorama. Back on board, you will return to Lipari where you can visit the island in the evening.
Day 8: Check-out
Check-out is at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday at the embarkation pier in Lipari.
