The fascinating Canal du Nivernais, Canal Lateral à la Loire and Canal de Bourgogne allow access to some of the most beautiful French sailing areas. Day 1: Check-in

Check-in available on Saturday afternoon from 17:00 at the base of Chatillon sur Loire, where you will enjoy a short walk on the medieval cobbles to discover the ruins of the castle and the ancient houses of the winemakers. It is located near Briare, a town that has the most famous of the works reserved for inland navigation, the Canal Bridge, the longest in Europe designed by G. Eiffel, who built the Eiffel Tower.

Day 2

Beginning your navigation towards the south, moor at St-Satur to visit Ménétréol with its half-timbered houses and the typical houses of the winemakers, and Sancerre, a medieval village built around its castle from where you can admire its landscapes characterized by vineyards and taste the his famous wine Le Blanc de Sancerre.

Day 3

Another exciting day awaits you and with bicycles a must to visit is the center of Charité sur Loire where you will find a multitude of booksellers. Let yourself be surprised by its magnificent Romanesque church, an important pilgrimage destination. Then a small detour of the canal will take you to the gates of Nevers, a city of noble medieval origins where there are really many things to see and above all very interesting, such as the cathedral, the Doge's Palace, historic residence of the Dukes of Nevers, with the its spectacular Renaissance facade, and the old pottery district.

Day 4

The navigation will then take you to Chevenon where you can admire its medieval fortress. To do something different you will have the opportunity to visit the Magny-Cours Circuit 12 km from the city where fans of this sport will love visiting the museum with its exceptional collection of Formula 1 cars, a Formula 1 simulator and a racing track. go-kart outdoors.

Day 5

Your next stop is Decize, located at the crossroads of the waterways, is rich in history where you can see the ancient fortified walls and the ruins of the castle. To visit the Romanesque church of St. Aré, and the town hall square with its clock tower. You will then begin the ascent of the Canal du Nivernais with a stop at Cercy la Tour, from whose tower you can admire the splendid landscape that surrounds you.

Day 6

Your navigation continues towards Chatillon en Bazois, a large city where you cannot miss the castle of Chatillon, one of the oldest castles belonging to the Count of Nevers, dating back to the 12th century.

Day 7

Your journey will then end in Tannay, a small fortified village on the Yonne Valley, with a series of towers jutting out over the rooftops. In the heart of the village you will find Les Caves Tannaysiennes where you can buy a bottle of the delicious wine of the region.

Day 8: Check-out

Check-out is scheduled in the morning by 09:00.

This modern boat is ideal for 6 persons but thanks to the convertible dinette can comfortably take up to 8 persons on board. It’s a great boat with a lot of outstanding space to relax and take sun. There’s a fully equipped L-shaped kitchen, a gorgeous saloon with radio/CD player, and a huge elevated sundeck big enough for everyone aboard to relax. Available for wheelchairs (on request).
