Ready to cast off from Kos for a week of sailing, sea, and freedom? The BeFree flotilla in the Dodecanese is designed for those who love the sea, sailing, and adventures to be shared in good company: perfect even for solo travelers looking for an authentic, social, and emotional experience.
On board of sailing boats and catamarans equipped with every comfort, you will navigate among the pearls of the Aegean Sea along two extraordinary itineraries – North and South – touching islands such as Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos, Nisyros, Tilos, and Symi. Questions & Answers
What is the BeFree Fleet and who is it designed for?
BeFree is a sailing holiday in a flotilla organized entirely by BeBlue. It is designed for guests aged 30 to 45 (maximum age limit), singles or groups of friends who want to sail, have fun, and enjoy an experience combining sea, land activities, aperitifs, and shared moments.
How will the crews be divided?
The crews of the flotilla are divided up, trying to balance the participants by gender and, where possible, by age group, so as to create close-knit and homogeneous groups.
Can I participate if I come alone?
Yes, this flotilla is also perfect for those traveling alone. You can share a cabin with a participant of the same gender or request a double cabin for single use (DUS) with a 70% supplement. Catamarans only have double cabins, while sailboats also have bunk beds, which are more compact but offer greater privacy.
What is not included and how much do the extras cost?
The price does not include food, port and buoy fees, and any optional shore activities such as dinners or aperitifs. These expenses are estimated at approximately €180–200 per person. Upon boarding, you will also be required to pay for the BeBlue Pack in cash.
What time is boarding scheduled for, and when should I arrive?
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday at the meeting point with the skippers from 2:00 PM for check-in. Boarding will be available from 4:00 PM. After stowing your provisions and luggage, we will set sail before sunset, so it is important to arrive on board by 6:30 PM.
Will I know in advance who I'll be traveling with?
Yes, 14 days before departure you will receive an email with boarding information, useful tips for your vacation, and a link to join the WhatsApp group with the skipper, co-skipper, and other participants so you can get to know each other and organize the details before departure.
How is the kitchen on board managed? Is it possible to have a dedicated menu?
The onboard kitchen is managed directly by guests. With the skipper's help, you can create a weekly menu and shopping list, which can be purchased locally or online with delivery directly to the boat. Any allergies, intolerances, or special requirements should be communicated to the skipper and are not a problem.
Do I need sailing experience or a boating license?
No experience or boating license is required. There is a skipper on board who takes care of navigation and boat management and, for those who wish, can also teach the basics of sailing.
Who will do the cleaning? Will sheets and towels be provided?
The interior areas will be cleaned by the participants, and the co-skipper will be responsible for keeping the exterior decks tidy and clean. Bed linen and towels will be provided on board, but we recommend that you bring your own beach towel.
How can I recharge my cell phone and other devices?
On board, you can recharge your devices using 12V sockets, similar to those used in cars (USB), as well as 220V sockets (like those at home), but only when the boat is in port.
Is there Wi-Fi?
There is no Wi-Fi available. Please note that within Europe, your Free Roaming plan will be active, allowing you to connect to the internet as if you were in Italy.
Is there air conditioning?
The cabins are not equipped with air conditioning, but each one has fans.
Can I smoke on board?
Smoking is permitted only outside and at the stern of the boat or in areas designated by the skipper, out of respect for other guests and without ever throwing cigarette butts into the sea.
