We depart from Kalamata, leaving behind the lively city to reach Kardamili, overlooking the Gulf of Messinia. The first dive into clear waters hints at the charm that will accompany us throughout the journey. In the afternoon, we continue towards Limeni, a gem of the Mani: a tiny village where stone houses are reflected in the turquoise sea. Dinner on the pier, at sunset.
The morning is dedicated to a natural wonder: the Diros Caves, which can be explored aboard small boats gliding between stalactites and stalagmites. A true underground cathedral. After the visit, we set course for Gerolimenas, an ancient fortified port, now a peaceful haven for sailors seeking tranquility.
We continue towards the legendary Porto Kagio, once a pirate hideout, now a remote and evocative place. Here you can go ashore for a walk to Cape Tenaro, the southernmost point of mainland Greece and, according to mythology, the gateway to Hades. A mystical place, amidst ruins and silence.
The sailing continues along the eastern coast of Mani to Gythio, a picturesque and lively port, with elegant neoclassical buildings and seaside taverns. An evening stroll along the waterfront or an excursion inland towards Sparta or Mistras will complete the day.
We set sail towards one of the pearls of the Peloponnese: Elafonisos, a small island with Caribbean-like waters and pristine beaches. Anchoring in front of the famous double beach of Simos and Sarakiniko offers postcard moments. White sand, turquoise sea, and untouched nature.
In the morning, we set sail for Kythira, the island of the goddess Aphrodite. Wild, romantic, and mysterious, it offers secluded bays, Venetian castles, and villages suspended between sky and sea. You can choose between the tranquil port of Avlemonas or the lively atmosphere of Kapsali, at the foot of the Chora.
The last day is dedicated to returning. We leave early from Kythira and sail up the coast with a stop for one last swim, perhaps in the bay of Cape Tigani or in the clear waters of Mezapos. We arrive in Kalamata in the late afternoon, with our minds filled with images and unforgettable moments.
