HIGHLIGHTS View
During the cruise with BeBlue, a visit to the historic center of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is highly recommended. A must-see is the city’s impressive walls, built between the 13th and 17th centuries for defensive purposes. They stretch for 1,940 meters and overlook the sea. Along their perimeter, three major fortresses stand out for their historical and architectural significance: Minceta Fortress, Revelin Fortress, and the Imperial Fortress. The itinerary also includes various islands. Mljet Island, also known as the Island of Odysseus, is home to a National Park established in 1960. According to legend, it was on this very island that Odysseus was held captive by Calypso. Lastovo Island, is a perfect destination for those seeking peace and unspoiled nature. Inland, the village of Lastovo is a true architectural gem, with its stone houses, ornamental chimneys, and a timeless atmosphere. Korčula Island is often compared to a smaller version of Dubrovnik, thanks to its famous old town surrounded by walls, towers, and narrow stone alleys, but with a calmer, more intimate feel. According to local tradition, this is the birthplace of Marco Polo, and his supposed house is now one of the island’s main attractions. Prapratno is a small bay on the Pelješac Peninsula, known for its sandy beach, a rarity in Croatia. Surrounded by pine trees and olive groves, it’s an ideal spot for a peaceful stop, especially for families with children, thanks to its shallow and safe waters. Lopud, on the other hand, is completely pedestrianized, a small paradise where peace and beauty reign. The island is rich in Mediterranean vegetation, well-kept gardens, ancient monasteries, and historical ruins. Its main attraction is Šunj Beach, one of the few sandy beaches in the region, perfect for relaxing in shallow, clear waters.
