Day 1: Check-In
The meeting is set for 7:00 pm at the Capo d'Anzio Marina, and after placing the luggage in the cabins, everyone's free for an aperitif and dinner in Anzio: we suggest pizza or some delicious fish, then a walk downtown and in the end we will spend the night on board.
Boarding until 9:00 am at the Capo d'Anzio Marina, and after placing the luggage in the cabins we will go out together to shop for groceries. We are ready for the first sailing of the holiday, destination: Ponza! We can choose whether to drop anchor in the famous Chiaia di Luna, a fascinating sandy cove dominated by an imposing cliff, or in Cala di Feola, or even at the Spermaturo rock on Palmarola. We'll enjoy the first aperitif on the boat in front of a marvelous sunset, followed by a good dinner and the first night at anchor, lulled by the waves of the sea.
We will wake up refreshed and energetic, jump in the blue water to enjoy its calm waves, and finish with a nice breakfast. Then we'll be ready to reach Ventotene, an island closely linked to Roman history, where united Europe had its first stirrings. The trip that awaits us will be an opportunity to learn the rudiments of sailing by alternating at the helm and adjusting the halyards and sheets just like a real sailing crew. Upon our arrival the beauty of the steep cliffs full of seagulls will leave us literally speechless. Here we will have the opportunity to drop anchor at Parata Grande to to relax between lunch and diving. We'll spend the night at anchor between the town of Ventotene and the island of Santo Stefano.
The whole morning will be dedicated to swimming and sunbathing. After lunch on board, we will raise anchor to enter the ancient port of Ventotene. The entire afternoon will be dedicated to visiting this splendid patch of land, choosing whether to visit the Roman Cisterns or Villa Giulia, or even the prison, which has been closed for decades on the island of Santo Stefano.
After breakfast we'll leave the moorings and the port, setting the bow towards Ponza. We will be there by lunchtime. Here, in a beautiful cove south of the island we will anchor and after swimming in crystal clear water, we will have lunch. Still not satisfied with knowledge and beauty, we will head towards Palmarola to spend the night at anchor in Cala Brigantina, considered by many to be the most beautiful landing place in the whole Mediterranean.
It's already Friday: this day will be the most relaxing and slow-paced; we'll dive all day in the clear water between Cala Brigantina, Cala del Porto, and Cala dell’acqua. Then we will choose which of these bays will be our home for one night.
We'll raise the anchor and visit Cala Tramontana, otherwise known as "the Cathedral", where we will spend the morning in an uncontaminated environment with various ravines on the cliff, to be seen with the tender or swimming. In the middle of the day, we head towards Anzio where we will arrive before dinner. It's not over: we'll enjoy this last evening with a nice and delicious dinner in Anzio.
Day 8: Check-out
Rich breakfast in the cockpit. Now it's time to say goodbye but we'll take home many emotions, happy moments and incredible sunsets. Check-out at 9:00 am.
