89 Catamaran Cruises to Cuba: Sail & Dive


Day 1: Check-in

After the transfer from the airport of Havana to the Yacht Club of Cienfuegos, from 09:00 am on Sunday morning you can embark on the catamaran. When you have known the crew and the diving guide and after a short briefing about the safety on board, we let go the mooring towards Rancho Luna. In this beautiful spot we will start our diving adventure with two immersions: included that of the so called "labyrinth", with its wonderful corals and a little and mysterious wreck... Lunch on board before returning underwater to discover "Notredame"... at the end of the second immersion we will set sail to the night anchor in order to have dinner under the caribbean sky.


Day 2

After breakfast we weigh anchor and we hoist sails towards Banco Jaqua, which is situated about 30 miles off of Cienfuegos and it is famous for the two sunken caravels, which were discovered here; the gold on board is still visible at the Historic Museum of Havana. In this spot you can find some hammerhead shark...


Day 3

After a full breakfast, we will sail towards the crystal clear sea of Cayo Trabuco, where you will have the opportunity to do other two immersions along the steep sides of the island, together with rays, sea turtles and every variety of tropical fishes.


Day 4

Today the skipper and the divemaster will lead you to Cayo Sigua: one of the best spot of the entire caribbean coast of Cuba.  Once dived in you can explore the steep sides, many kilometres long. You will swim in the world of turtle, rays and sharks. For the experienced divers there will be the possibility to do an immersion in a underwater cavern near Cayo Sigua. Dinner and evening at anchor...


Day 5

Time flies...and today we weigh anchor and we set sail towards Cayo Largo with two different immersions: one inside the multicolour coral reef and the other out of corals. The area inside the reef is situated in shallow waters, and it is advised for the beginners; instead, in deep waters, the more experts can explore interesting spots with the calm sea..In the evening there will be the possibility to go to Marina a Cayo Largo to sip a Mojito in one of the bar along the beach! Cayo Largo is the perfect place for the beginners scuba divers and it offers many possibility to have fun; for experienced divers we will can plan with the Captain and the divemaster to spend few more days at Cayo Sigua.


Day 6

Today promises to be a full day of relaxation. In addition to many possibilities for fun, Cayo Largo offers enchanting beaches of white sand that contrasts with the intense and crystalline blue of the Caribbean Sea. Playa Sirena is one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba, located on the western side of Cayo Largo and equipped with every service and comfort. On the other hand, Playa Mal Tiempo is contrasted by a totally isolated and unspoiled paradisiacal beach suitable for those who want to completely relax, while for the more sporty, its coral reef is excellent for snorkeling. Other wonderful beaches are: Playa Paraìso, Playa Tortuga and Playa Iguana.


Day 7

We let go the mooring and we will sail again towards Cayo Sigua in order to diving and swim discovering others new spots in this wonderful area, we will do also an unforgettable night diving among fishes and fluorescent corals.        


Day 8: Check-out

Check-out is scheduled in the morning by 09:00.
