A cruise or a weekend on a sailing boat to explore the beauty of the fantastic Aegadian Islands and of the biggest protected marine area in Europe: Marettimo, Favignana and Levanzo. A sailing boat is the best way to discover this corner of Sicily away from mass tourism; the archipelago offers a wild and unspoiled nature and a mild and warm climate almost all year long. The weekend from friday will be dedicated instead to the discovery of San Vito Lo Capo and the fascinating Cous Cous Fest that every year takes place in this popular locality of Sicily. Set sail and head towards the Aegadian Islands!

Day 1 - Check-in:

Embarkation from 04:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at the touristic harbor of Marsala, where you can do galley and buy some fresh fish. Once aboard, after the skipper's briefing and the accomodation in the cabins you can have dinner in a typical restaurant on the seafront of Marsala, and then visit the characteristic historic centre of the city. We'll spend the night in the harbour.

Day 2

Monday morning we leave the moorings and we sail to Favignana to bathe and anchor in the most beautiful coves of the island. Favignana is the butterfly shaped island, the landing of the mythic Ulysses where everything refer  to the sea: the ancient traditions related to the fishing of tuna makes it a popular destination for the enthusiasts of this fish. After an afternoon dedicated to relaxation and snorkeling in the unspoiled seabeds of the Marine Park we'll moor in the harbour for the night and to visit the ancient Tonnara of the country.

Day 3

After a rich breakfast we'll leave the port and we'll bathe before hoisting the sails and move towards Levanzo, where there'll be the possibility of visiting the island and the picturesque little village facing a bay with crystal clear water where the boats seem to be floating. We will have dinner and spend the night under the starry sky.

Day 4

It's already wednesday and after breakfast there will be time for bathing, swimming and relaxing before starting to sail towards Marettimo. After an afternoon at anchor, we wil spend the night  in the port to visit the village and discover the tasty local cuisine, famous for its fresh fish. In the restaurants of the area you can taste couscous with seafood, grilled tuna, spaghetti with bottarga tuna, sea urchin, barnacles, prawns and lobsters, all freshly caught.

Day 5

We spend this thursday around the island of Marettimo, discovering every part of it, like the marine caves and the natural reserve, using only the allowed local fishing boats. After lunch, we will spend the afternoon walking up to the castle of Punta Troia, before going back to our boat for a bath and then a good dinner in a wonderful little cove under the castle.

Day 6

After breakfast and the unmissable swim we'll sail towards San Vito Lo Capo (embarkation for those who choose the weekend formula!)to discover the charm and the beauty of the reserve of Zingaro, made up of dolomitic limestone rocks, that extends into the western part of the Gulf of Castellammare, here you'll be enchanted by the sour beauty of thereserve for its intense colours in every season, for the white coves embedded into the turquoise sea, the omnipresent dwarf palms, the rich Mediterranean vegetation, the tough olive trees and the majestic carob trees from which you can see the harmonious farm houses. In the evening we'll go back to San Vito Lo Capo where you can enjoy the Cous Cous Fest event made of good food, music, tastings of wine, typical products and sicilian cuisine.

Day 7

During the last day, the skipper will take you to the Faraglioni of Scopello, an ancient town facing a wonderful bay, last stop of Ulysses before going back to Itaka. A snorkeling session here is a must: the seabeds rich of fishes and crystal clear water will give you magical moments! In the evening we'll go back to San Vito Lo Capo where the party continues at the Cous Cous Fest, where there'll also be, literary meetings and concerts of fusion and world music, all this followed by a gastronomic, musical and entertainment panorama that will accompany you for the whole evening before going back home. The disembarkation is expected by 5 pm on Sunday in San Vito Lo Capo or Marsala.

The itinerary might be subject to variations due to weather conditions, safety and technical evaluations of the Captain of the boat. This program is intended as indicative and non-binding.
