Ready to go! With full sails pushed by the Meltemi we will sail south-west until we reach the picturesque Aegina, one of the most authentic islands of Greece thanks to its history that, even today, we find walking through its streets. Famous for the pistachio but especially for its characteristic ceramics. Aegina also hosts beautiful beaches with a thousand shades of turquoise. It is the ideal place to take the first bath of the holiday and to exchange greetings among the crews. In the afternoon we will head south towards Russin Bay on the island of Poros, where we will officially open the week of the Befree with a first aperitif by the sea at sunset, a simply dreamy setting!
A rich breakfast with sea view, before heading south! Waiting for us, the beautiful cliffs of Spathi Island that will light up our morning and lunch with an unforgettable scenery characterized by transparent water and imposing mountains. In the afternoon we will sail towards Dokos, a semi-desert island famous for the discovery of a Bronze Age wreck. Here we will make a wonderful stop where to refresh our tan before heading towards the intriguing bay of Skindos, very quiet and sheltered place where we will drop anchor.
We'll go as fast as the wind towards the West route! We will make a pleasant sail of a couple of hours skirting the high and majestic cliffs of Hydra, until we arrive in the bay south of Spetses. Here we will enjoy a relaxing swim among the submerged ruins, before docking in the island’s historic marina where we can explore its cozy and picturesque seaside village. We’d have plenty of time to relax and enjoy a cold drink in front of a beautiful sunset. Dinner in a typical little restaurant by the sea, where you can delight and experience the expert cuisine of local fishermen. The end of the evening on the ground will be free, stroll through the most beautiful streets of the island or chat freely, lying on the sand under the starry sky of Greece.
The sun illuminates the fleet and the smell of coffee knocks on the door of the cabin, it’s time to explore the island of Hydra and its beautiful country, a calm and extremely quiet country, away from the rhythms of the big cities of which we are accustomed to see and live. We will then sail to Mandraki, just north of Hydra, for a lunch break lulled by the waves of a real natural pool, here you will spend an afternoon of absolute relaxation, with the opportunity to visit the center of Hydra reachable both by sea and with an unforgettable promenade.
After breakfast, we will immediately explain the sails and cross the channel of Poros, heading towards the spectacular bay of Yerolimani to the north east of the island of Poros. In this bay, sheltered from the wind, you can dive and swim in the crystal clear sea. In the afternoon the sails are hoisted in the direction of Agistri, more precisely in front of the island of Dorousa where we will spend the rest of the day immersed in the transparent waters, white sand, bays at tender capacity.
Today, only if the wind of Meltemi will be merciful, we will sail early towards Cape Sunion in the shadow of the imposing temple of Poseidon otherwise we will set course towards Metopi a small bar of white sand that contrasts with the blue of its crystalline sea, a real Caribbean setting. The right destination for a last and unforgettable bath of this fantastic holiday where you will then be greeted by crews. After a relaxing lunch, we will set course for the city of shadow of the Parthenon and the Acropolis, exactly we are talking about Athens! Finally, we will make an evening visit to this fascinating historic city by dining in the shade of the Parthenon.
