Sail through the beautiful bays of Turkey on a relaxing gulet cruise: the crew  will care of everything. Sailing from Marmaris: you can surf, swim, immerse yourself in the crystal clear watersof Bozukkale Bay or explore the ancient ruins of the medieval castle by visiting the pristine waterfalls in Orhaniye Bay. You will get in touch with the quiet local population by visiting the small fishing village of Buzburun and learn the rudiments of sailing under the careful guidance of the skipper.

HOW TO GET THERE

The airports of reference are Milas-Bodrum (iata code BJV) and Dalaman (iata code DLM) easily reachable from all the main Italian airports with a stopover in Istanbul if you travel with Turkish Airlines.

It is also possible to use the airport transfer service or book a taxi (about € 95 from Milas-Bodrum and € 35 from Dalaman) or private minibus (about € 110 from Milas-Bodrum and € 60 from Dalaman) for the journey from the airport to the boarding marina. Journey time from Milas-Bodrum airport to Marmaris: 2 hours while from Dalaman airport to Marmaris: 1 hour and 30 minutes).

353 Gulet cruise in Turkey: Marmaris and Gulf of Hisaronu, Turkey

1

Day 1: Check-in

Check-in is scheduled from 16:00pm in the port of Marmaris. The first night the gulet will remain anchored to the port of the historic city of Marmaris for dinner and overnight stay and to allow you to visit the city.

Day 2

Early in the morning we will sail to Arap Island where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon after a good swim we will head towards Bosukkale, the ancient Loryma. In the bay it is possible to surf,  swim, visit the remains of the ancient fortress and  do some fantastic dives. A unique bay in which to spend the night.

Day 3

After breakfast we will head to Datca , one of the smallest and oldest cities in Turkey near Knidos. An optional excursion is provided here. Overnight in Datca or in one of the nearby bays.

Day 4

In the morning, after breskfast we will sail to Aktur while after lunch we will cross the northem coast of the gulf. We will first stop at Bencik Bay, a narrow inlet that divides the Datca peninusula into two parts. We will spend the night here and dine under the stars.

Day 5

Today we will sail to the Gulf of Hisarönü and for lunch we will stop in Selimiye Bay Or Orhaniye Bay. The ancient acropolis located behind the town is crowend  by the ruins of of a medieval castle and further up the hills it is possible to visit the beautiful waterfalls. Also take part in a fatastic optional jeep excursion.

Day 6

After breakfast we will head to Dirsekbuku in Buzburun Bay. Just try to manage the sails under the careful guidance of a skipper. Buzburun is a small fishing village that make its living ny building the typical wooden boats called "gulets". Overnight in the bay closest to Buzburun.

Day 7

After breakfast we will sail to Kadirga or Kumlubuk. After lunch we will dock in the port of Marmaris where will spend the night.

Day 8: Check-out

Check-out is scheduled in the morning by 09:00.
