In the morning we move to the South, on the coasts of Malaysia, visiting the "Pearl of the East", Penang, connected to the northwestern coast of Malaysia itself by one of the longest bridges in the world. In complete contrast, this beautiful island is home to one of the best Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia, the Kek Lok Si Temple.

Protected by the Ko Tarutao National Park, this archipelago of 61 islands is just a stone's throw from the Malaysian border and far from the radar of tourist groups. The only homes in Ko Adang are the Park offices and since there are not many visitors, we can walk freely among the pristine beaches and deserted coves.
