Captain George Vallis is an experienced Master Mariner (Captain Class A – Unlimited) with over 15 years of progressive leadership in the maritime and yachting industry. He has commanded private and commercial yachts up to 50 meters, demonstrating exceptional capabilities in yacht operations, safety management, crew leadership, and logistics. He holds an MBA in Shipping and Maritime Operations (2024) and is the President of the Panhellenic Union of Private & Professional Yacht Crew. His background includes extensive seagoing service, refit supervision, and formal training in safety, navigation, GMDSS, ECDIS, and security operations. Fluent in English, he combines technical expertise with strong organizational and communication skills.

Chief Engineer: Spyridon Tortopidis (Greek)
Motivated and multi-skilled marine engineer with over 15 years of experience on commercial vessels. Demonstrates strong expertise in mechanical systems, diesel engines, hydraulics, generators, shipyard projects, and safety systems. Proven ability to manage and maintain complex engineering systems while ensuring high safety standards and operational efficiency. Experienced in mentoring junior engineers, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing energy performance. Holds all required STCW certifications and a Chief Engineer license. Chef: Marinos Fakis (Greek)
Chef Marinos was born in 1983, is married and has two children. He is a very experienced Chef with over a decade of professional experience at high-end restaurants. He holds a Culinary Arts degree from Le Monde Institute of Hotel and Tourism Studies. He truly loves Greek, Italian & Mediterranean cuisine but has extensive knowledge of German and Asian cuisine as well. Chef Marinos always does his best to satisfy even the most exquisite tastes. In his free time, he loves snorkelling, kayak, spearfishing and swimming. He speaks Greek, English, and basic French.

Chief Stewardess: Nikoletta Pazara (Greek)
Nikoletta is dedicated to ensure guests' well-being, comfort and safety. She has worked as Chief stewardess in many luxury motor yachts and won 1st prize at Tablescaping competition at MEDYS 2023 - her patience and hard work are her basic characteristics. Nikoletta is also a volunteer of sport lifesaving and worked as a safeguard in many maritime events such as triathlon and championships around Greece. She is an easy going personality with great organizational and communication skills. She Iikes Greek folk dances and is also a professional barista. Nikoletta speaks Greek, English, French and is a beginner in Russian.

Stewardess: Oleksandra (Sasa) Bilanenko (Ukrainian)
Sasa was born in 1986 and holds a Master of Mechanics Materials Engineer. She has worked as a flight attendant for many years, but her passion for sea leaded her to the yachting industry. With her pleasant, kind and creative personality she promises to her guests a great experience onboard! In her free time, she likes working out and spending time with her family. She speaks Ukrainian and English.

Deckhand/Sailor: Panagiotis Krounis (Greek)
Experienced and reliable bosun with over 20 years in the maritime industry, primarily on private and commercial vessels ranging from 35 to 60 meters.
Demonstrates strong skills in deck operations, maintenance, and team coordination. Holds a Speedboat Pilot License and multiple certifications in maritime safety, firefighting, and vessel operations. Background includes long-term and seasonal roles with responsibilities often extending to chase boat handling and general vessel upkeep. Completed military service in the Special Forces. He speaks Greek and English.

How does the charter contract work?

The contract is signed directly between the Owner and the Charterer, with the support of the broker. It is usually based on the international MYBA contract model, designed to ensure clear and balanced protection for both parties.
There is also the figure of the Stakeholder, responsible for safely holding the funds until the end of the charter.

What is included in the charter fee?

The base rate includes the rental of the yacht, the use of all onboard equipment, the presence of the crew, and the related insurance coverage.
Operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, beverages, and additional activities are not included and are managed through the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance).

The exact list of what is included or excluded will be confirmed when selecting the yacht.

What is the APA and how does it work?

The APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is an advance fund, usually equal to 25–35% of the charter fee, allocated to cover operational expenses such as fuel, provisioning, marina fees, paid activities, beverages, and the guests’ personalized requests.

At the end of the cruise, the Captain provides a detailed breakdown of all expenditures. Any unused amount is refunded to the client, while any overages are settled directly upon closing the charter.

What are the payment terms?

Upon signing the contract, a payment of 50% of the total amount is required.
The balance — including APA, taxes, and any additional charges — is typically due around five weeks before embarkation (depending on the owner).
Payments are made via bank transfer, which is the standard method in the luxury charter industry.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, cancellations are possible, but the contractual terms apply.
In general, if the client decides to withdraw, the Owner retains the deposits already paid.

If the yacht is rebooked for the same period, the Owner refunds the amount recovered, minus the applicable commissions.

Every cancellation request is handled with full transparency.

How can I choose the yacht that best suits my needs?

The choice depends primarily on the type of experience you wish to enjoy:

  • Motor yacht for maximum comfort, excellent stability, and fast transfers.

  • Sailing yacht for an authentic, quiet experience rooted in traditional navigation.

  • Catamaran for generous spaces, superior stability, and enhanced privacy.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (Mediterranean: June–September; Caribbean: December–April), it is advisable to book several months in advance to secure the best available options.

Is it possible to personalise menus, preferences, and activities?

Absolutely. Before departure, you will receive a Preference Sheet where you can indicate your tastes, dietary needs, allergies, beverage preferences, and the activities you wish to enjoy.
The Chef and the Captain will use this information to create a fully customised experience for you.

How many guests can be accommodated on board?

Most yachts can host 6 to 12 guests, depending on their interior layout.
Some superyachts over 80 metres, compliant with international certifications, can accommodate up to 36 guests.

Will I have Internet access during the charter?

Most yachts offer Wi-Fi on board, provided through mobile networks or satellite systems. The quality and speed of the connection may vary depending on the cruising area and the technology installed.

Is tipping the crew expected?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is a well-established custom to show appreciation for the crew’s service.
International guidelines suggest an amount equal to 10–15% of the base charter fee as a reference.
